Sports coat needed for Israel and Jordan tour?

We are going on the Israel and Jordon trip in May 2023. Is a sports coat required? On other Tauck tours there has generally been one "dress up" night. Any advice from folks who have recently taken this trip would be greatly appreciated.

    No, not necessary. A few of the guys did wear them the first and last nights, but most did not.

    We will be going in a couple of weeks and my husband will not be taking one.

    No, you definitely won't need that. A dress shirt should do it, or light sweater.

    We are doing the Grand Au/New Zealand tour in November. From all the other comments about sport coats for many different tours, it seems most men are not bringing a sport coat. I wish Tauck would modify their information to make it sound more optional

    We were just on the Jordan and Egypt tour. The only night a jacket was required was at the 1902 restaurant at the Old Cataract hotel in Egypt. So my guess is you won’t need one.
