When we went in 2018 I did the longer of the two rides we were offerred- a 26 mi. ride from Englehartzell to Aschach lock. It was mostly on a flat asphalt bike path along both sides of the river. Our group ended up in three groupings- the jackrabbits/Tour de France riders - just me - and the rear echelon of slower riders and a TD. My wife did the much shorter ride from Durnstein to Wieskirche and back. I don't know what the rides are like now. It was not easy but I did OK. I was in my late 60's and hadn't done any biking, so trained for a few months prior.
