Italy, lake como, venice, florence and rome- Hair Dryer

i was ready something on my itinerary indicating the hair dryers are not powerful so you might want to bring your own. Does anyone know if that is true? hate to pack if not needed

  • Depends on the hotels, same as in the US.

  • DO NOT bring your own hairdryer unless it is dual voltage (110v/220v)!!! If you use a plug adapter to plug a US 120v hair dryer into an Italian ((220v) outlet, you'll let the smoke out of your hairdryer! :o:o

  • Unless you are accustomed to using a very powerful dryer, there is no reason to take your own. I have never had an issue with hotel supplied dryers throughout Europe.

  • A hair dryer is absolutely and definitely not necessary for all the reasons above.

  • Alan smoke also rolls out of your hair as it fries

:D:D That may also be true, but the smoke I'm referring has the distinct aroma of burnt or burning wire insulation, and sometimes melted plastic. :D

  • thank you all so much!!!
