Tauck Thank You Gift - Cell Phone ‘Sleeping Bag’
We returned from the Savoring France tour last month. Today, we received a welcome home/thank you gift of a ‘cell phone sleeping bag’. You place your cell phone in the draw string bag to disconnect. I definitely won’t use it for that reason, but will make a great carry bag for charging cables on future tours/getaways or 100 different uses rather than a cell phone sleeping bag (silly).
Anybody else receive this thank you gift?

No. We went to see a play recently and every seat had one of those bags to use during the performance. They were not for take home!
I wonder if those are Faraday bags. The ones British mentioned almost certainly were.
OMG, a Barbie Doll sleeping bag. I wouldn't use it for my phone as I normally just put it on Do Not Disturb but also use for my clock.
Actually it looks like a repurposed eyeglass case I use for my round hair brush. I inserted a cardboard tube to keep the shape. It protects the brush and keeps the bristles from getting tangled in other items.
@Claudia Sails - haha, yes - a Barbie sleeping bag! I also like other uses!
@MikeHenderson - not a Faraday, this is a ‘made in China’ recycled polyester bag.
I love Claudia's characterization of Barbie Doll sleeping bags! When I went to "Take Me Out" on Broadway, we had to put phones in bags that were then locked. I think they wanted to make sure that no one took photos of the nude locker room scenes!
Shows and concerts have had problems wtih cellphones ringing during a performance. There was one classical music concert where the conductor stopped the performance and scolded a patron who didn't turn off his ringing phone (it was that default marimba ringtone).
Those bags are Faraday cages - they block the phone from receiving the cell phone signal.
There are units that transmit a signal which blocks the cellphone service but they are not legal in the US - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_phone_jammer
