Recommendations - Eiffel Tower Tour

We will be on tour with Tauck for the small group Week in London and Paris this April / May 2025. I've noticed on the Eiffel Tower website that not all the tickets / premium packages are open for selection, some even say unavailable (not just sold out). I've been checking the website consistently noting the 60 day window, etc. That said, my 60 day window opened yesterday and the guided tour that we would like to go on is unavailable.

Can anyone recommend a tour company (hopefully one that Tauck would either use or recommend) that can be used for an Eiffel Tower guideed tour to the 2nd floor with access to the summit?

Thanks in advance!

  • My daughter‘s family is going to Paris next month and has given up on getting the tickets for the Tower. They have tickets for lots of other places, such as the Louvre, Versailles, the Catacombs …which husband and son want to go to, etc etc. I told them they made sensible choices, the most magnificent part is seeing the tower. You can get city views from other monuments.

Seeing the Eiffel Tower is magnificent, especially when illuminated at night; but if your goal is to see the views, you would be better off taking an excursion to Montmartre—the highest point in Paris. Taking the little train up and up the hill then wandering through the town makes for a very memorable day.

Try e-mailing your hotel's concierge for assistance with either, or both, excursions. Have a great trip.

  • We've used Viator for other tours in the past and were happy with them. Since they are a tour aggregator (not the operator) you need to read the details carefully - what is included, what is the cancellation policy, where is the pick up point, etc.

  • We have done several Fat Tire tours and they have all been great. The do have an Eiffel Tower tour which is a walking tour.

  • The view from the restaurant is truly magnificant and there is an elevator next to the restaurant to take you all the way up.

  • To add to what henrypoon_66 said: if you make reservations for either Madame Brasserie or the Jules Verne restaurant, they include rides up the tower on a dedicated elevator (Jules Verne) or a dedicated by-pass line for a regular elevator (Madame Brasserie), so no need to join to join the scrum.

The Jules Verne restaurant is expensive (2 Michelin stars), but since it is on the second landing, an even more impressive view of the city than Madame Brasserie on the first landing.

From both, you can purchase the additional tickets needed to go all the way to the top.

All of what I'm stating was true 2 years ago.
