sight seeing in Arusah

We are arriving in Arusha several days before our tour starts on August 16th. Is anyone interested in joining for a day of sightseeing on August 16th? Does Tauck have any suggestions for touring? I understand that it is not a good idea to go out without a guide.

Yes, read my review on. Tanzania forum, best tour was Arusha National Park, hotel will organize it at their tour desk. Approx $200 whether you decide half or full day, we did full day also taking walking safari option, fantastic. You must pay in cash for this, then at the park entrance there is an additional park fee, think it was maybe $50 each, can pay there by CC but someone else posted machine does not always work so best to have cash available in case. This really is a beautiful park, one of the nicest on whole trip for scenery. Second best tour was guided walk round lake. Exercise helped us overcome Jetlag on our first day, not much exercise on this trip remember. Don't think the town is worth a trip, you will probably drive through it on your first day anyway, can't remember, did the K and T. A while ago but believe you do visit theCultural Center there at some point.
