Yes and from the ship to the airport in Basel at the end of the cruise. When you get your travel documents from Tauck after making the final payment (green spiral bound book) it will detail where to look for the driver. After you clear customs and pick up your luggage you go to the place the book says to and look for a driver holding up a Tauck sign. It took us about 45 minutes to meet the driver and less than 1/2 hr to get to town.
Once you get to the ship, they will store your luggage, let you know when your stateroom will be ready and you can hang out in the main lounge (they'll likely have refreshments available) and then you can go site see til your stateroom is ready if you want. Leave your passport with the front desk crew - its safer and you won't need it. The ship docks very close to the main rail station and all the oldest parts of Amsterdam are within a 1 mile walk. At the least you may want to hunt down an ATM (ask the front desk or the cruise director for a map and location of the nearest ATM). If its a fairly clear day, one really close attraction to the boat is the central library which is very close to the ship - it has a roof top terrace with a view of the city or walk down the street to the Hilton Doubletree hotel skylounge.
Once you get your stateroom key cards, your bags will be waiting for your to unpack, store under the bed and begin your cruise. Have fun.
