Yesterday, I got a mailer from Tauck with a special,, small trip catalog. In it are trips with very reasonable prices. Did I miss the 1930s deadline to book?

Now that I think about it, the TD typically pops out of the bus as soon as we arrive and gets all the keys. Then they're handed out as we enter the hotel. How civilized!
Finally got my copy of the reproduction brochure today. What a fun thing! When looking at the description of the New England tour, I got a chuckle out of the picture of the "Old Man of the Mountains" rock formation. While a tourist attraction in New Hampshire for many years, the formation collapsed in 2003 and is no more. The only place you're likely to see him these days is on New Hampshire license plates.
Ken -- The Old Man of the Mountains is also on the NH quarter. I was so sad when it fell down! My parents took my siblings and me to the White Mountains annually in the 1950s and we always stopped to admire the Old Man.

Interesting, well it certainly has gotten some poor reviews in the past, so maybe they need to fill up trips.

By the way, based on the consumer price index, that $95 trip should be about $2,150 in today's dollars.
