I tipped in USD and no problems. The dollar has been strong so the Vietnamese like it.

No problem getting visas for either Vietnam or Cambodia.

I went with a different company. That company sent out a step by step guide three weeks before the tour of how to get the eVisa. It was relatively easy if you follow their recommendation.

Smaller gift shops, restaurants, food stalls and the post office only take crisp USD bills if it is more about $10. They don't take $1 or $5 and if US money is dirty, stained, crumpled, folded or bent. The Imperial Palace in Saigon does not take USD or credit card.

Did any one experience any delayed internal flight? Any thoughts on Vietjet vs Vietnam Airlines? Did any one go through security and immigration at Ho Chi Min City upon arrival or receive a VIP pass?

I always tip in US dollars, only once I've had a TD that requested/insisted on local money but I already had the $ with me so that's what she got.

There was no tipping at the Kindergarten. Tauck seems to make a donation. We were probably only there for 15-20 minutes and the kids were just running around on the playground. They were adorable and very friendly but the interactions were just fun, no structure or classroom interaction. We tipped in American dollars everywhere. Bring lots of small bills. Also the vendors in Vietnam and Cambodia all wanted $. In Thailand, only Thai bat.
