I took it a few years back, it's not difficult, you'll get to see a beautiful waterfall and many animals, the hotel will fis a lunch box for you to have in a very nice spot overlooking the lake.
GRaytsky, I'm arriving on Sept. 7 and plan to do this day tour on Sept. 8. What day were you planning to go?
Hi WBN, we are considering either the 7th or 8th and will decide within the next few days and let you know. Are there others in your party?
Hi, Graytsky--No, I'm on my own.
Hi, Graytsky: Turns out my friend Deb will be joining me on the Day Safari, so no need to include me in your plans.
Look forward to meeting you on the trip!
Wendy
Hi Wendy, see you there! Safe travels.
Hi. My sister and I are also going on that T&K tour and are looking for something to do on Monday, September 8th. I don't see that attached document. What does that tour include?
Hi Susan, information in the attached file. Plus brochure provided by another traveler. We are booked for 8th at 8AM.
I have my Africa trip booked for July 2026, but was hoping to do a day safari in Arusha...I'm a solo traveler so if I booked this, do they fill the vehicle w/other travelers, or am I responsible for the cost of the vehicle? I see your screen shot and was wondering is it just 2 of you on this tour and you can add more if you wanted and then they would give you some money towards the cost?? Thanks and have a great trip!
As far as I know, they will not fill the vehicle with others unless you request it.
Kathy, British is correct. You can authorize additional travelers and they will be invoiced for the tour but, you as the original reservation holder, will need to get reimbursed for their share of the vehicle cost by those travelers.
Oh that is interesting. Ty both for the answer. I guess I’ll have to hope to connect with others on my tour, which is the Tanzania/Zanzibar trip, to see if they have space to join. If not, I’ll look for something else to do.
Kathy, see what the start hotel has to offer. It’s also good to just hang out the day before the tour because of all the upcoming daily starts. Massages are usually very reasonable in Africa!
I actually may look at a horseback ride as long as my horse isn't named lunch, or something else offered. We'll see!
I'm not really a massage person even though I hear many enjoy them in Africa after the long journey to get there.
Kathy, we took a tour of Arusha with a guide/driver and another Tauck couple came with us. We met them in the hotel before the trip started. Tauck will give you links for local guides or you can ask at the desk. We really enjoyed it! Also, the first hotel has gorgeous grounds, a garden with all kinds of cool things to see: lush flowers, vegetables, many banana trees, chickens, other. They have a coffee plantation and a workshop/training community of 60 folks with various challenges who were weavers, glass blowers, bead makers, etc. 30 of the folks were deaf and I know American Sign Language. They use Tanzania Sign Language. We found a way to create a bridge between us which was so memorable and special. It's a wonderful property and community. The gardeners will drop everything and give you a tour and we were all happy to tip them for their time. Lots to do there.
Hang on a minute, Kathy, am I correct you are taking the Tanzania Zanzibar hotel? Pegacav is talking about the Gran Melia hotel and o your tour does not start there. I’ve e been to the Gran Melia, but not the hotel you will be staying at.
British, I am on the Tanzania Zanzibar tour, you are correct
