We got tickets when we were on an Australia tour with Tauck years ago. We did not purchase them until we got to Sydney. The tour schedule was changed when we got to Sydney. It did not affect us going to our show but I’ve read here that it appears this does happen on the tour so be aware you might encounter that if you buy tickets in advance of the tour.
I talked to Tauck before we went and they assured me that no changes were expected for the free night in Sidney, they said that most people on the tour go to the Opera House, I bought tickets from home and everything was fine, if they would have changed it and had a planned a dinner I would have missed it.
I’m in Australia now. Check the website for what’s playing. We are seeing the Broadway musical Rent next week. Might have preferred an opera, but we haven’t seen Rent and did want to attend a performance of some sort there. We did buy the tickets in advance. There was a little schedule change, but it did not affect our attendance.
