It’s new for next year, so no one will have been yet. We would like to take it. We were in Oslo with Tauck this summer and enjoyed it very much. There is a lot to see that is not on the tour, so suggest extra time there.
I would also recommend extra time in København. I had afternoon tea at the Nimb last week (Tauck takes you there for dinner according to the itinerary.) The tea was very nice and very much Scandinavian with an emphasis on locally sourced fish and vegetables. There are options for you to design your own items. Most of the pastries are baked on-site. I have not had dinner there so can’t comment on that.
The Odd Fellows Mansion is another Tauck excursion for dinner. Again, I have not eaten there but I have enjoyed several candlelight concerts there, including a group who performed all of ABBA’s songs.
The trip to Odense will be a long day but enjoyable. The trip across the bridge is quite an experience and a highlight in my opinion. The Hans Christian Andersen Museum complex is fun and informative for young and old. Enjoy.
We're giving this one very careful consideration for later this year. I know the tour is too new for thoughts/opinions, but I'm certain many Tauckers have visited Copenhagen previously. Is Tivoli Gardens sufficiently interesting? Anyone have experience staying at the Radisson in Copenhagen? I see mixed reviews on Tripadvisor.
We've already spent time in Oslo and wouldn't mind repeating some of the activities included on the tour. The Tauck hotel in Oslo is the best ---- this is definitely where the celebs stay.
When we were in Copenhagen with Tauck in 2022, we were given tickets to go to Tivoli Gardens. It was right across the street from the Radisson, where we were staying. I don't think we would have gone to Tivoli if this hadn't been the case, but we did go in the evening. It's really a very charming place and the evening lights made it very pretty. We had a casual pizza meal in a beer-garden type restaurant with a couple of ladies in our group, and we had a really nice time. It was said that Walt Disney got some of his ideas there for Disneyland, and in fact there is a very retro Disneyland vibe there.
As far as the Radisson, I remember it being a pretty standard business-type hotel and nothing special, but also not bad. I suspect it was chosen for the location.
I have dual (Danish/U.S.) citizenship and am of the opinion that Tivoli lost its once beautiful, old world charm and grandeur decades ago due to over-tourism. This is merely my opinion, however. The gardens are still worth a visit and offer a nice respite from the blaring Beach Boys type music depending on day and season. If Tauck still offers tickets, I would encourage you to go anyway. If having a meal there, try some traditional Danish fare, even if it is just sausages and cabbage on a crusty bun.
Actually, I can offer some insight into hotels. If you travel with preconceived notions of what “should be” you will surely be disappointed. The focus is on minimalism, efficiency and functionality, not luxury. Many hotels started as municipal buildings that were subsequently retrofitted into hotels. As such, lighting may be more subdued.
The Danes are friendly but not necessarily overtly so. Workers are there to provide a service, not to befriend you. Nor do we like loud talkers and people who do not respect the personal space and privacy of others. It is always prudent to learn a little bit about the culture and to know a few words in their language.
I hope you decide to go, lisajanetx. If you have more time, venture out into the countryside. I doubt you will be disappointed. Warm regards.
Thank you @kfnfnfzk and @Wan. I appreciate all your advice/information, etc. and will keep it in mind. My husband can't take much more time off work than we've already planned so this is one of the few tours that would work for our schedule. Fingers crossed.

If you do decide to go, please consider posting a critique afterwards. I would be interested in reading your thoughts.
@kfnknfzk - Will do! I'm leaning towards booking for fall and appreciate your input
Also want to say I often read your comments and always find them insightful. Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words. 🌻 Fall is a lovely time of year to visit Scandinavia.
