What to do in Bozeman?
We are arriving one day early to Bozeman in January. I can’t seem to find anything to do there in town (except touring the caramel factory). Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Many thanks to everyone ! We’re already scheduled for a half day of dog sledding in Jackson Hole.

Ski at Big Sky
Thanks Goddess, great suggestion ! Unfortunately, our skiing days are long past.
It's a fabulous Museum.......................you will enjoy!
It is too bad the tour starts in Bozeman. It used to start at Chico Hot Springs where, if you booked a pre-stay, Tauck used to pick you up at the Bozeman Airport and take you to Chico Hot springs. At Chico there are a few things to do- swim in the outdoor, geo thermally-heated pool, go horseback riding, snowshoeing, etc. I'm sure there are similar things to do such as snowshoeing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, dogsledding, etc. but outdoor activities are likely well outside of the city. Just Google it.
I loved the planetarium in Bozeman, but I was there many, many moons ago. We also met the owner of Wheat Montana while having breakfast, and he took us on a tour of his operation. Really cool.
Tillyseattle - The planetarium is at The Museum of the Rockies!
Like SandyFeet, I haven’t been there in many years but we enjoyed just strolling along Main Street. I rarely eat meat anymore but try some bison stew. Enjoy.
Like AlanS, I too went on the Tauck tour a few years ago when it began in Chico Hot Springs. There even was a vendor there who offered dogsledding rides from there and as I arrived a day or two early, I managed to go one of the vendor's dogsled rides in the Absaroka Mts for half a day. Quite interesting.
We're booked on the new Tauck tour next July starting in Bozeman: Paradise Valley, Yellowstone, and the Tetons.
Horseback riding and fly fishing seem to be the beginning activities of this beautiful tour, followed by glamping in West Yellowstone with daily tours in the surrounding areas, finally ending up in Jackson Hole. We've never explored this part of the US, and thrilled to be heading in this direction.
