local flights on Patagonia tour

What is the quality of the flights? Should we bring our own snacks? They look to be around 3 hours each way.

  • On our tour, the local flights were fine, but seating was very tight. A meal was provided, and I ate some of it. I cannot recall what was served.

  • Even on short flights they seem to provide food.

  • I would suggest bringing your own snacks:) The food on the flight was not good.

  • What tour is this thread about? The initial post is titled "local flights on Patagonia tour", but it is posted in the England, Ireland & Scotland area?

If the post is truly about Patagonia, then restarting the thread in the more appropriate area might be more effective.

  • Thanks to all for your help.

  • In Patagonia, the hotels gave us sack lunches for the plane rides.

  • Smallest tightest seats ever on flight from Santiago to Puerto Natales, the taller folks in the group were wedged in. Snack was only like a little bag of crackers so bring your own if you need to but most of us made do without anything more.

  • Food is very irregular on this trip. One day we had so many snacks and drinks, and the next day nothing. So we always carried our own snacks just in case. On the flight to BA from El Calafate, they did provide a bagged lunch which they told us about the day before as we had a choice of chicken or veggie sandwich. On the flight to Puerto Natales, I don't believe they provided anything except drinks in flight.
