Scandinavia Tour July

What are the best men's and ladies clothes for this trip? Do you need a heavy coat or layer up?

Comments

  • July is generally the warmest month throughout the lower elevations of the region. Heavy coats are not required. Layering is my best advice. Merino wool is lightweight and provides exceptional warmth without being bulky. A light jacket, preferably one with a hood, will suffice for outerwear. Footwear with sturdy soles is important as well.

  • We had quite a bit of rain and the ski lift to the top of a snow covered peak we needed warm clothing.

  • We were there late June. A quick look at my photos show I’m wearing my puffer jacket quite a bit and I don’t get cold easily. We had quite a bit of rain. You will be going up to the top of a snowy mountain and by glaciers too. Take clothing for any conditions

  • Everyone's temperature tolerance is different. We went with layering. A wjnd/rain resistant jacket roomy enough for layers, a light zipper jacket and a mix of tops short sleeve to long sleeve. The. You'll likely see a range of weather. One non clothing item to pack is sleep eye masks. There's maybe 4 hours of darkness and several hotels without AC so you can't ful!y shut the curtains to allow airflow.
