Yes we are going on that same river cruise. Starts In Paris train to Lyon France then board boat. do you know if that new river boat will have self service laundry? is there a certain voltage for hair curl irons and flat irons or does the USA voltage work for Paris and Monaco hotel and the boat? thank you Carolyn
I've never been in a European hotel with US voltage anything. They'll have European outlets that you can use with an adapter (just changes the shape of the plug not the voltage) for dual voltage items. For electronic items like smart phones, tablets, laptops you just add the adapter and plug in. For other things there needs to be a switch on the appliance to toggle between the voltage. Some hotels may have USB outlets - usually at the desk or nightstand - which you can use without any adapter. It
When I traveled for business there were some European hotels that had U.S. outlets, but these were hotels that catered to corporations by having large conference rooms set up for presentations. They weren’t the type of hotels I would want to stay in when on personal holiday.
Confused? Lyon is on the Rhone River, not the Seine.
I’m very confused by this whole thread. The OP mentions a particular cruise - Rendezvous on the Seine with incorrect dates and someone adds a port that as stated above is a different river. I think we having overlapping cruises here.
I wouldn’t worry, it was their first post and they have not been back to the forum since they posted.
Jerry6804 - You are confusing a Rhône tour with a Seine tour. No worries, however, since the comments pertain to either tour.
