Venice entry fees and exemptions
We are traveling to Venice at the end of our upcoming Croatia trip in June.It looks like you only need to pay the fees or apply for exemptions if you happen to be in Venice on certain dates.Just checking with fellow passengers whether my interpretation is correct.We happen to be in Venice on one of these dates that does not require either fees or exemption!

Are you are absolutely positive you won't be there on one of the 54 specific dates between mid April and the end of July and there won't be any changes to your itinerary, if not I would go ahead and get the exemption QR code. It can't hurt.
I took that tour a couple of years ago, Venice was the end of the tour, of course at that time there was no mention of paying fees.
I've been to Venice twice in the last 3 years with Tauck. The first time, the TD handed out slips of paper with a QR code and explained you only need to show it if someone in uniform asks to see it (which didn't happen). The second time, it wasn't needed (based on day of week, I believe). If you need to apply for something in advance, Tauck should mention it in their travel docs. If you want to be sure, call them.
