Luggage

We are taking the Grand New England tour in October. This will be our first Tauck tour. Reading through the information on luggage it says the following. "Due to space limitations during your Tauck Trip, we ask that you please limit your checked luggage to one average-size suitcase per person." What exactly constitutes an average-size suitcase? Also, are you allowed a smaller carry on piece of luggage? We usually cruise on Regent where laundry is included. I am starting to stress about how to pack ALL our clothes ( I know first world problem 😔). Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

You will find a wealth of information on Tauck’s website, including specific information for your tour.

Each person is allowed one (1) suitcase not exceeding fifty (50) pounds with dimensions not exceeding, I believe, sixty-two (62) inches. Not abiding by the restrictions places an undue hardship on the coach driver and tour director, as well as causing potential delays.

We enjoyed this trip so much that we took it twice.

Packing - A versatile mix and match wardrobe and layering works for us.

I think Tauck mentions the measurements but medium is medium. We travel frequently for three weeks, often only washing underwear. You have to learn to mix and match, not take heavy pieces of clothing, mix and match. You definitely don’t need the fancy clothing that I think people take on cruises. There have been lots of negatives about this tour especially the quality of the hotels. If you are disappointed, I would not let it put you off traveling with Tauck, other toirs are much better.
