Ireland packing help please
We are leaving soon for this journey. I am at the "packing for fancier evenings" stage. of the 13 nights, how many would you say require a dress OR black pants and nice top? All the hotels look very fancy to me, and most of the dinners are in the hotels, but are they in the dining rooms or pub-style restaurants? I know about Ashford Castle so no need to include that.
Also I have waterproof lace-up leather shoes but are hiking boots also a good idea? Mine are waterproof, but I have no other suitable boots. Thinking in terms of spending time outdoors during free time exploring Ashford Castle, for example.
Thank you!

I only remember two nights that were a bit dressy. One was the Merchant Hotel in Belfast and the other was dinner in an Orient Express coach - but I don't remember where that was. You can see out trip at https://www.mikeandjudytravel.com/2018Ireland-01.htm
When I took that tour some years ago, any hotel dining was in a dining room, not a casual restaurant. Never needed hiking boots, but waterproof anything in Ireland is always a good idea. I only wore sneakers and had no problems. Black pants and a few nice tops should be just fine.
