Thans for providing the Tauck letter. I feel sorry for the people that are suffering from the draught along the Danube and Rhine, but this has presented us with a problem none of us needed. Sounds like we will be cancelling so I am finalizing hotels in Morrocco, Madrid and Paris to make this vacation worthwhile. We are booked on xmas Danube Tauck cruse in 2027, so we will hopefully get the river cruise experience a year from now.
We are going to continue and hope for the best. Hoping we get 10 days on the river but are not opposed to spending some time in alternate lush accommodations. Bon voyage wherever you may be heading.
Our friends who didn’t opt to cancel just got an email saying Tauck is cancelling, so Billie is right. The issue now will be…for those of us who opted to cancel, will we get the insurance voucher that they give when then cancel.
We just heard from our TA that the trip is being cancelled. We got this because our TA called to cancel for us and the agent said it was in the process of being cancelled. Tauck is just catching up with all of the notifications since this is recent as of this afternoon.
My guess is they are worried about the Rhine portion and can't afford to get stuck. I was assuming they wanted to get the ship to the Danube for the next cruise, but don't think they can.

Tauck's reputation rests on "making in right". Praying that's what 's happens on my Blue Danube " trip September 15th.
I am also leaving from Budapest on September 15th. I have faith in Tauck to make it right!

Billie_Guthals. Tauck has not cancelled this trip…they gave the option to cancel with a full refund, or a modified itinerary with some bussing.
