In-room safes?

Are there safes in most of the venues to keep cash or is it better to wear a money belt?

    Yes, I'm fairly certain all have safes. There were even safes in the "tents" in the Fairmont Mara Safari Club "tented camp"- I have a photo of it! You can Google each place to verify. There is no need for ready cash on about 95% of this trip. Except at the Masai Village in Amboseli, most places, accept credit cards. We did not exchange any $ for local currency.

    Fairmont Mara Safari Club - Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya- yes
    Nairobi Serena Hotel - Nairobi, Kenya- yes

    Came home from the Tanzania & Kenya safari last week---everywhere had in-room (tent) safes except Amboseli. However, they were great about locking up your valuables at reception.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph.
