E Africa Plague Outbreak

Does anyone have insight on the plague outbreak in East Africa? I will be traveling to Tanzania in December. From what I have read in news, the plague outbreak in Madagascar affects other E African nations that have direct flights from there.

Concerns? Thoughts?

    I read an article about the outbreak and it's only in Madagascar. I haven't heard anything else . Check CDC website.

    That is a pretty good article. There have been news reports about the unusual higher outbreak in Madagascar for weeks. I really recommend reading the online BBC World News because the everyday news we get on American Tv is pathetic. There are a few cases of plague each year in the US and it is not from travellers. I heard a snippet from somewhere recently that said no one on the planet is more than six feet from a rat, which is pretty amazing.
