How far out do you book your Tauck Tours & when will 2024 dates be released?

CachelleGuadagnino - You must call Tauck to be added to a waitlist. Your best bet, however, is to monitor the website frequently for the tour you wish to take.

If the dates are not posted and still fairly soft, Tauck can't book you but will put you on an "Interest List." All that will do is result in Tauck sending you an email when the dates are about to be or are posted (or not :D ). An "Interest List" will not normally get you any sort of priority or save you a spot, however. Of course, if you are really interested, you are already checking website daily, so don't need the email alert.

A "wait list" only applies when Tauck has almost finalized but not posted the dates and may or may not be formally taking bookings. It also applies when a certain departure is sold out but you want to grab a spot if and when someone cancels.

We have experienced all of these situations with multiple tours, most recently when Tauck restarted the Jordan and Egypt tours after a long, multi-year hiatus- we were put on an "interest list," followed by a "waitlst" just before dates were posted. When, during the first year of COVID, our tours were cancelled, we tried to re-book for our preferred dates the following year, but they were already sold out with new bookings. We booked alternate dates, but also had Tauck put us the "waitlists" for our preferred dates. In all cases, we eventually got our preferred dates (only to have them cancelled as well :/ ). After the first year Tauck instituted a (temporary?) priority system for those whose tours were cancelled for the second time, so we were able to get our preferred dates for our third attempts.

a year or so in advance... or as soon as Tauck publishes pricing and opens reservations.
