Cruising Down Under Westbound Trip Starting March 13, 2020
Four of us scheduled to begin this trip on March 13. Ended up cancelling on March 9 because one of the four of us came down with acute bronchitis and was told by doctor not to travel for 3 weeks. We are glad we cancelled considering the issues throughout the world.. Does anyone know of how many total canceled out of this trip before it started? Also, given the new restrictions for New Zealand, what is Tauck doing about the two week quarantine for entering NZ? by looking at the itinerary, it appears we would be getting ready to depart Sydney and head to NZ. Has Tauck stopped trip and advised passengers to make arrangements to travel home from Australia?????

Shuttle, you obviously have not followed the forums nor read the updates by the CEO, Dan Mahar. All land and cruise tours have been cancelled through April 14th. For the full story and all the details check out the announcements at A MESSAGE FROM TAUCK: COVID 19 (UPDATED MARCH 13, 2020), at the link at the top of the Tauck Home Page: https://www.tauck.com/
Tauck's Travel Policy Updates at the top of the forum Discussion list at this link: https://forums.tauck.com/discussion/14093/taucks-travel-policy-update#latest
Or this thread: Australia & NZ tour coming home early specifically about the AUS & NZ trip https://forums.tauck.com/discussion/14111/australia-nz-tour-coming-home-early#latest
AlanS - you response is noted. However if you look at the policy statement it references cancellation of tours and cruises beginning March 17 through April 14. Note my question is about my tour that was to begin on March 13, 2020
I'm not sure what you are reading or if you read far enough, but if you followed the main page header link to the short letter from Dan Mahar and clicked on the link in his last sentence that says, "Please click here," you would have seen this bolded text in the third paragraph,
"We have accordingly decided to pause, and forgo operating our scheduled tours and cruises from March 17, 2020 through April 14, 2020. If you are scheduled to travel with us between these dates, we will be reaching out to you directly in the coming days.; We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding." It says nothing about tours and cruises beginning.
One more time - OUR TRIP WAS TO BEGIN ON MARCH 13 - his note references trips between MARCH 17 to APRIL 14. I am looking for an updated response from Tauck. I know they monitor this forum site.
Yes, "one more time," your trip was to "begin" on March 13, but unless you were on some really special 4 day only trip, YOUR TRIP WAS TO "OPERATE" sometime between March 17 and April 14! Are you being too literal and think that Tauck was just talking about tours that start and end on those dates? Have you read all of information at the various links posted in the forums by Tauck, me, and others? You might try reading this one again: https://www.tauck.com/travel-policy-update and reading the more detailed text of Dan Mahar's email as quoted verbatim by pwresq in this thread: https://forums.tauck.com/discussion/14109/all-tours-and-cruises-canceled#latest
If Tauck hasn't "reached out to you yet." you might want to check with your TA, if you used one, or call Tauck directly. I was booked on a tour and was going to depart today (20 Mar) for a tour beginning 22 March which is scheduled to "OPERATE" sometime between those dates, too. All my arrangements including flights which I booked separately, have been resolved (re-booking, 2 X $500 credit, etc.) with Tauck this past week. I booked my own flights but have also resolved all details with Delta as well.
