Where? What is it?
I’m thinking Russia, but only guessing since I haven’t been there. is it a peacock?
Peacock Clock at the Hermitage Museum Russia.
You people are too well traveled. I believe Claudia Sails has the best answer. Yes, there is a Peacock, and two other birds, but it is a clock. It is in St. Petersburg, but I think there is only one Hermitage Museum in Russia, in St. Petersburg. And, the 200 year old clock works. They turn it on periodically so visitors can see it in action. It’s a real crowd pleaser. Tauck gets us into the museum before it opens, but we did not escape before the ‘crowd’ arrived. We actually lost two people who were swept away, but we found them after searching for about half an hour. This was on Tauck’s small ship cruise to the Baltic and St. Petersburg.
That took all of four minutes.
I'm not that well traveled. Was sitting at my PC doing a reverse search on a photo I wanted to post for this round but you beat me to it. I then google "gold peacock statue" and got a bunch of table top sized statues. Added "museum" to the search and bingo, it found it. Looks so cool, wish I'd seen it for real.
This website tells a little about the clock and shows it in action:
