I'm pretty sure this was answered in a more recent post, maybe it was washcloths, I don't remember (all hotels had those too), but here is what Tauck Emily said in an older, 2012 post.
The the K&T forum archives have all sorts of good information about power adapters, bug repellent, etc., etc. You can go there or search for a particular topic right from this page.
Remember, if you decide you still want to take one, it must be a 220v or dual voltage hairdryer- you'll let the smoke out of one designed for US voltage (110V). Most small power converters that change 220V to 110V (not talking about a plug adapter) can't handle the wattage of a hairdryer.
