1920's Night -Dressing up?

Are people dressing up for the 1920's night? I'm trying to decide...

We leave Thursday for Rendezvous on the Seine River Cruise - there is a 1920s party one night - we are only taking 1920s accessories we bought on Amazon to save luggage space & weight. So - not a whole outfit.
My husband got a men's accessory pack w/a hat, suspenders, arm elastic bands, a pocket watch, and bow tie - $15
    I bought a black fringe shawl w/gold sequins and a head band - $25

We are traveling with another couple and they are doing the same thing.

  • Terrilynn, you think very smart and wise for packing for a trip.

  • Same with accessories here. I'm lucky in that we used to participate in cowboy action shooting where you dress up (victorian/early 1900's) and we both have a fair number of accessories close enough to that era to work. There used to be a company called 1928 Jewelry that sold modestly priced reproduction jewelry. I have a couple of sets along with beaded wraps, etc. I am tempted by the elbow length gloves on Amazon. My husband has several fancy vests, garters, suspenders and a pocket watch.

  • Just returned from the tulip cruise. The 20's night was actually really fun. Dancing, poker.... Our tour directors did provide some accessories such as mustaches, beads, hats, long gloves...
