I just googled the school that we visited with Tauck, I’ve been there twice. To sponsor a child is actually $1700. We sponsor the FAME hospital nearby which is why our soccer balls don’t seem much.
Our group donated over nine hundred dollars. Some donated a lot, and some donated little. Give whatever makes you feel good. Give the money to your TD not to the school people unless you want them to have a new hair do. Our TD took the money to the next town and bought supplies and hired a truck to bring them to the school.
I don’t understand how you found out your tour director. Or is your tour near and the Tour director emailed you already? How about asking him these questions?
I know everyone says long sleeves to protect from bugs. We are going in December where temperatures will reach 80’s, which makes it very uncomfortable wearing long sleeves. Can we wear tshirts and bug spray?
You can wear whatever you are comfy in but do remember it is cold early mornings as you are at elevation, plus when you get up for the balloon ride about 4am, it is freezing.

Irina_1 - If you wear the typical safari long sleeve shirt then they are easily rolled up and fastened if you get too hot.
