If I recall correctly, we did sometimes use the European Type C adapter on this tour.

This is a very useful site.
I don’t know why Tauck doesn’t post pictures of outlets and plugs like other tour companies do.

British - Tauck assumes its customers are smarter than the average bear and know how to use Google. :)

But they aren’t. People just forget it’s there mostly.

Thanks so very much for all your help and a Happy New Year to all.

Tauck gave us misinformation in our pre trip travel package, saying both countries use the European plug. They don't. Our tour director emailed us all the week before the trip to show us the plus we needed - Italian style (3 circles) for Chile and Australian style (V shape) for Argentina. The singular and the xelena both put converters in the room but we bought them in advance anyway.

We definitely used the universal adaptors we brought as some hotels didn't give us adaptors and even if they did, we often needed more! The universal ones are a bit bulky but you will always be covered with them -- wherever you go.

If you take a traveling extension cord with several plugs and USB ports on it, you should only need One plug for each country as they are different. That’s all we take for phones and iPads. There are numerous ones on Amazon.
