There are twelve more and we enjoyed all of them. We enjoy having some free time. On most of our trips there were people clamoring for more frre time to go shopping. We also don’t need to be crammed with groceries three times a day.

  • China
    Australia/New Zealand
    Danube/Oberammergau
    America's Canyonlands
    Iceland

When I think of favorites I think of categories - some are favorites because of history, some because of culture, some because of beauty and some because I shared the trip with family. There are additional "trips" that are favorites because of what other travelers have shared. I would love to to go to Antartica, but because of health issues, taking that tour is no longer possible. But I have still enjoyed Antartica through pictures others have shared - and that is very much appreciated! Thank you to everyone who has shared highlights of their trips!

  • I agree with cvc about favorites by category.

Spain and Portugal for the culture and Moorish architecture.
Savoring France for the food and wine.
Russia and Baltics for the history.
    Douro River for the relaxation.
Grand Canadian Rockies for the beauty.

  • Not necessarily in this order

    Egypt & Jordan
    Kenya & Tanzania
    Essence of Japan
    China
Budapest to Bucharest - River Cruise

  • Essence of Japan
China + Hong Kong (currently not being offered by Tauck)
    Blue Danube cruise
Normandy, Brittany, & the Loire Valley
either Bellissima Northern Italy or Tuscany & Cinque Terre (the latter itinerary has changed a bit since we took it)

Our non-Tauck tours of a city tour of Istanbul and another of Portugal would knock out a couple in my top five.

Favorite Countries to Visit: Japan, Turkey, France (decades of traveling there) , Italy, Portugal, The Low Lands (Netherlands + Belgium)

We mostly travel on our own, starting off with 6 week and a 3 month vacations. Now we go for 3 1/2 weeks but this past September when we went to France on our own we wish we had more days. We've learned to always add days before or after a tour and if we aren't excited about a day excursion when on tour then we find something else to do that day. . .

  • Rendezvous on the Seine
Best of Ireland - Small Group
    Morocco
    Scandinavia
    The Blue Danube

Non-Tauck: Great Journeys New Zealand - Aukland to Christchurch (this would be in the Top 5 tours overall)

  • The title of this thread is the top five “Tauck” tours.
