The real important things -- Pillows and room service

Hi Friends,

We leave in a month. Can anyone tell me about the pillows onboard?
Do they have smaller feather pillows, etc? or giant stuffed ones only. I like a lot of pillows, and will bring some of mine.

And do they offer room service in the larger cabins? When? ...only breakfast?
Thanks,
A

The pillows are standard in size if my memory serves me correctly. I believe they are down or down-alternative. The closet will have more. You can check the website for all amenities. You can ask housekeeping for more pillows. They are very accommodating.

Yes, the 300 sq. ft. cabins offer breakfast room service—typical American breakfast of eggs and bacon, also fruit, yogurt, pastry. I have never had a problem receiving porridge and a smoothie.

  • Ann, are you aware that Tauck allows only one medium suitcase, so bringing pillows could be tricky for you. We often ask for extra pillows no problem. We prefer foam pillows.

  • My room came with down type pillows and I requested foam, which was accommodated almost immediately.

  • The staff on Tauck river cruises are very accommodating. They'll give you more pillows. Unless you have to have a very specific type, I wouldn't waste packing space on one.

  • I use feather pillows and never had any problem obtaining them.
