Which is best? Scandinavia tour or Norwegian Fjords & Coastal Treasures cruise?

We are looking to book in May of 2028 and would like to hear some opinions on these tours. We will be 50 and 55 with our 22 year old son. This will be our first time in Scandinavia. Any thoughts would be most appreciated!

Generally you will see more on the land tour.

My preference would be the land tour as well. I don’t think the cruise includes København.

You are correct..........Norway is the focus.

I'd say both but it's because we did the land tour last year and enjoyed it and I would have liked going further north along the west coast of Norway. I think you have better use of your free time on the land tour. Just be aware the Scandinavian hotels can be a little more austere compared to other European countries and there is a fair amount of coach time. I think you see a greater variety of scenery on the land tour.

We took the cruise tour last year. We normally prefer land tours but in this case there were many negatives mentioned here on the forum about the land tour. We really enjoyed it and did see plenty of inland scenery. We even bumped into the land tour group in one place.
We did of course miss out on seeing Denmark but now Tauck does a tour of Oslo and Copenhagen and we loved Oslo very much and would happily go again. We spent an extra day there at the end and still did not see all it had to offer.

I took the land tour and enjoyed every minute of it. Like Claudia mentioned the hotels are not the usual hotels you stay at in other Tauck tours, but I had no problems with them, can't have luxury all the time.
