Getting Tired of Forum Spammers?
It seems like the spammers are cluttering the Forum with their garbage and advertisements. Tauck, please put an end to this nonsense.

If Tauck is reworking this forum, here's a suggestion:
Rather than simply have a "report abusive post" button that is addressed by management only during business hours, implement a counter so clicking the button automatically deletes the post when 5 members have clicked it. I'm a member of another forum where this works well to get rid of the ne'er-do-wells.
I send emails to IT. I reported the Mcafee max spammer, the SIM card, and the ones practicing English. Tauck will not be making changes to the existing software. It should be interesting to see what the new website and forums look like. I expected to see it go live by now, must be slow going or it has issues. Since the website deals with personal and payment info, I'm sure they really want it to have good security.
Most of the questions here involve Do I wear a sports coat or not and should I get vaccinations? In the end, only you can make a decision about that, it’s hardly a Tauck priority and let’s face it, they take your booking and I hardly think they will cancel it if you fail to dress to ‘Code’ or care if you catch Malaria if you did not take Malaria meds. However, the spammers do concern me.

Some people like Vegemite, too :-)
British - Funny, but true. However, it could be a chicken and egg thing, too. People may venture here, see how clunky the forum is, and leave. OTOH, it could simply be an age thing. If Tauck attracted millennials, it would be very different here.
I once read an article about a survey posing a question - If you were going away for the weekend, driving to a mountain cabin or a ski lodge, and realized you forgot your cell phone, how many hours into the trip would be your cut-off for turning around just to get your phone. Not surprisingly, the younger the respondent, the bigger the number, with many saying 6 hours!
Personally, I find the forum helpful in trip planning, more so than the reviews on the main site. The silly questions about dress, weather and vaccinations - well, what can we say? Part of the repetitiveness could go back to the clunky interface and a poor search feature. It's perplexing how people find their way here with the silly questions, but haven't yet discovered Google.
Yes, yes, that’s what I don’t understand either!
Vegimite? I am a Marmite person myself!
Another military delicacy came to mind when reading that ... SOS ... a much derided dish invented before WWI that was actually pretty well liked by the ‘troops’. SOS? ... “Sh*t On A Shingle”, or Creeamed chipped beef on toast. If you Google it, you will actually quickly find recipes for item called, “Sh*t on a shingle.”
Vegitmite? Marmite? What is wrong with you people? Peanut butter all the way.
Sealord, I thankfully never had SOS is the service (it always looked revolting in the mess hall) but my mom made some great stuff. Recipe? It's Bechamel sauce with jarred dried beef thrown in.
