Difference between April vs. July in Costa Rica?

Considering this trip for our family of 5, but wondering what the difference would be between a trip here in April vs. June/ July? Preference?

    Appears to be many more (8 vs 23) rainy days in the summer. I make use of the above web site before booking any trip.

    We have been to Costa Rica four times now but only between December and March. There is a distinct rainy season you want to avoid. As well as weather websites I check places like ‘Best time to go’ on the online Fodors books.

    Daughter has lived in neighboring Panama for past three years, best / driest time to visit is mid-Jan thru March.
