  • I guess they mean the lowest ‘dry’ point on earth. Challengers Deep has this beat by about seven and a half miles.

    Just for you Sam

  • Tried to Google it. They giver several places. Dead Sea?

  • It's been a rough ride. Hope we come together.

  • This sign is fake news since the area just to the right in the picture is lower. :D

Swimming in the Dead Sea was one of those unique travel experiences.

  • I like these kinds of signs a lot as well.

In recognition of a milestone -- the first female V.P.

    Go girl, go!

  • British - I like your Mt Kenya Safari Club equator sign picture.

BKMD - Here's another sign from the Israel/Jordan tour that was enjoyable.

  • Sam - I missed that one. Guess I didn't use the facilities there. Where was it?

  • LOL. Whether you go Right or Left,

Take a deep breath, and hold on tight, Pardnar.

It was where we had lunch in Nazareth.

Do you recall, from Gene Autry, Hopalong, Tom Mix, and the Lone Ranger . . .

    The Badlands

  • Gene Autry (of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" fame and the one-time owner of the Angels), Hopalong Cassidy, the Lone Ranger -- yes. I have heard of, but never watched, Tom Mix. And don't forget Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Happy trails to you...and to all of us.

Tom Mix was REALLY an oldie. 15 cents, 3 movies, and the news, Saturday, at the local theater. Even in the inner city, we had that, and a noisy crowd of kids. LOL. Oh, and Gabby Hayes and Tonto who may be politically incorrect by now?

    "Till we meet again.

If you want to see a list of Old Cowboy stars (names and pictures) then here's a link.

Here's another list that includes the female stars.

Tom Mix died before I was born, but his movies lived on for awhile. He was HOLLYWOOD'S FIRST COWBOY and most of the movies (total of 291) were silent movies exept 9. I can't recall if I saw them with sound or not, but they were really retro in black and white.
