Kenya and Tanzania in JAN/FEB?
We are looking at the Classic Safari and debating whether or not to go in JAN or FEB to get some warmer weather during winter here at home. Have looked through the discussion forum and found one previous post on this topic, but it was never answered after the discussion digressed to airline complaints/issues.
Would love to hear from those who have been on safari in Kenya/Tanzaniya during these months and from those who have been at other times as well if you have pros/cons.

We chose to take this trip late August because it is the dry season. I wanted to avoid as many mosquitoes as possible and we also were hoping to see some of the Great Migration. We succeeded on both goals. The terrain was very dry - no green grasses to contrast with the lions’ and leopards’ coats.
Ditto Lotusgirl's comments.
Just a quick update to help answer my original question now that we have been. We just got back from taking the Classic Safari in February and really enjoyed it. Since the rainy season had ended recently many areas were greener than we had anticipated. Wildlife was abundant and while we did not see the migration, we did see lots of very young animals of all varieties. Also saw many of the birds that migrate south this time of year. The weather was in the mid to upper 80's most days and low 60's at night. Did not need the hot water bottles in our beds even though they put them there. We did need multiple layers for the hot air balloon ride, but peeled them off quickly once we landed and the sun was fully up. Great trip!
Glad you enjoy the tour. Good tips, never heard from anyone who has been at that time of year.
