Schengen visa needed for AMS airport?
KLM advised that certain parts of the airport require this. Would U.S. citizens flying through AMS to JRO need one, and on return itinerary NBO>AMS>JFK? Thanks.

I have had many stop overs at Amsterdam airport and have never been asked for anything.
I think all this was delayed until 2025. Google it to find out.
I’ve been to AMS twice in the last thirty days, including a stay at the airport Sheraton which is outside of immigration. No visa was required.
There are two parts to Schiphol. The Schengen and none Schengen. If neither the country you're flying from or to is Schengen then you stay in the none Schengen section and I don't think you even go through passport control. That's how our Scotland trip went. But if you're flying from or to a Schengen country you'll have to go through passport control. Should the EU ever get this new visa program going that's when you'd need it.
Thanks to all for your helpful info.😁
