Malaria Pills for Portrait of India tour??
Curious if most people took anti-malaria pills for the Portrait of India tour? We leave in a few days and I hate to take the pills if not necessary, although CDC does recommend it. We do have them but thought I'd check with others who have been on the trip.
Thanks!

I don't think anyone on our tour of India took Malaria pills. We didn't.
Never took any pills for India.
I took malaria pills for this trip, as did probably half the people on our tour which ended about 2 weeks ago. But what do I know? I'm only a physician who followed the CDC recommendation.
Just about everyone got bitten by mosquitos, despite repellent especially in the south and especially in the open-air bathroom and meal venues at Kumarakom.
P.S. Please don't post the same question in multiple threads.
P.P.S. My response should not be considered medical advice, as I don't have a license to practice internet medicine.
No malaria pills when I went.
I did not take malaria pills for either of my India tours. I do not recall an issue with mosquitos (even in Kerala)
