I don’t understand the issue here either. I have changed trips often with no problem. The price of insurance is different for a cruise versus a land tour, so perhaps that would be a complication. Tauck has always been very accommodating.
Another Question: I am curious to know how Tauck will transport us from the airport at Nice to the hotel Martinez in Cannes.
I suspect a limo/bus or is the train a possibility. Looking forward to this particular trip Oct. 1st.
A driver will pick you up at Nice airport, After you get your luggage and leave the secure area, look for someone with a Tauck sign. The mode of transportation will depend on the number of Tauck people on the same flight that you are on.
Your final documents will describe how to find your driver at the airport and will have emergency phone numbers in case there is a problem. Be sure to have that info with you. I've never had it happen but it's good to be prepared.
We just booked this trip for April 11, 2026 - we're very excited about it. Anyone who has been on it that can give us suggestions of any kind would be welcome.
I just booked this cruise for May 31st, wanted April but being a solo traveler they have very few cabins available, so cabins for a solo traveler were gone. I had made a mistake and booked another cruise which visited almost all the ports as the one from where I just returned, need to pay a bit more attention, so I was late in booking it.
When you are traveling solo you have to book really early to get the dates wanted.
Bummer, after I booked this tour I remembered that my grandson is getting married June 5th so I had to cancel as earlier dates were not available and going towards the end of July will put me too close to my Switzerland trip ( I like more than a months between trips) so instead I booked Heart of the Danube: Bavaria to Budapest, I've been to a few of the places but there will be new things to see.
Tauck put me on a list so I'll be notified as soon as they have dates for 2027.
We have booked this trip for September next year. It seems so long to wait but I am still excited. We had to cancel our trip for this year due to health reasons
Doing La Belle Via beginning Oct. 2nd and coming in 1day earlier. Doing research on what to do and see.
Does Tauck provide and suggestions?
Has anyone else identified or experienced good activities in Cannes?
It depends on your interests. When you check into the hotel there will be a packet of information from your tour director. It will include a list of restaurants and things to do.
Does someone from Tauck read forum comments? The pricing on the 2027 La Belle Vie came out a few days ago. I'm interested, but the page for the 2027 is full of errors. Even the maps are wrong. I was looking forward to the tour in Annecy (the town pictured at the top of the tour page), and yet that stop disappeared from the 2027 tour. I'm having trouble believing that a company as honored as Tauck would launch a tour year with so many mistakes. I've done Tauck twice and will travel with them in 2026 also. Can someone proofread everything? (I, and my TA, have spoken with Tauck about this but no one seems to know what's what.)
No one at Tauck regularly reads the forum and it is very common for mistakes on tour pages. I’ve had it happen on tours I’ve been on and one time when we still got the ‘green books’ they sent everyone the book from the year before which was really different. They can’t proof read, because when I’ve called about errors, they thank me profusely and say they will forward to the correct person to rectify. It is surprising but true.
There can be any number of reasons, many technical, for the wrong info to be on the web. I'm sure they proof read everything, but it is so easy to inadvertently upload pages before they are ready or click on and upload a previous, error-filled, version. How many of us have done that with documents or emails (texts are an issue all to themselves), especially if rushed. A chunk of Tauck's IT, like the forum software and technical functions, are outsourced and those techs may not realize they uploaded a wrong version, etc. Maybe the final proofer is on a tour The best you can do is call and advise a salesrep about the issue and/or notify Tauck IT ( esupport@tauck.com ) and hope that the pages are fixed quickly.
As far as the sales reps go, they vary greatly. Of course Tauck had to hire a lot of new people’s after the Pandemic, so that could be a factor.
We just booked our first back to back tour and it was an excellent experience using the new phone number for the people who have taken 20 plus tours. Answered straight away on a Monday morning which is usually the busiest time to call.
I have noticed recently when we have called to book tours that the agents now emphasize the pace and level of the tour and ask if you are up to it. Judging by the comments by people here that they encounter people who are not fit and slow the pace of the tour down, people do lie or certainly overestimate their fitness level.
I am not eligible to use the special 20+ phone number but had an excellent experience talking with a sales person who helped me to book our first back to back trips for 2026. One of those trips is La Belle Vie river cruise.
I too noticed several errors online for the 2027 trip. One being the first night starting in Geneva with transfer from Marseilles airport. The transfer obviously carried over from the posting of the 2026 tour which does start in Marseilles. Hopefully the right person at Tauck will be notified so that they can clean up the errors. I am sure their aim was to get the 2027 up and available to receive bookings as quickly as possible.
Although frustrating to see itinerary errors, I am more appalled by the deteriorating English composition skills. I mention this to Tauck whenever I have the opportunity to either speak with them or when giving an end-of-tour review.
I recently read that according to the American Institute of Literacy, 60% of adults in America have a reading level below that of a sixth grader. That is horrifying.
Comments
I agree with Claudia, I booked Switzerland before pricing was out and was told I have 2 weeks to cancel after the price comes is set.

I used Trainline to book tickets in Spain and it was much easier than using the train company's website.
I agree. I used Trainline cuz I could not figure out the train company’s website.

That’s what’s happening to us, British. Anyone else? Seems there’s no way to escalate. The sales reps seem clueless.
