"Been There" Virtual Travel Quiz? Round #100- The last one for now.
From AlanS. I think this is a good time for a pause, at least for me. Thanks to all for your support.
If someone wants to take over as moderator, that is fine, just let me know via PM. Some of you already know how to do this stuff, but I will help anyone who doesn't, get up to speed.
There may be other ways to do it, but I essentially use a copy and paste process from MSWord. I do the scripting in MSWord because my laptop or the forum (?) won’t allow the special Markdown language codes I use for color, italics, bolding, links, etc. to be copied from one round to another, and it just makes it simpler for me.
See below for my final submission.
See Round #20 for info about and rules for the contest.
Round #97 won by BKMD with assist from JohnS
Submitted by Kathy M. People riding the motorized walkway that provided sliders an easy trip back to the top of the glacier sliding hill on Mt. Titlus in Switzerland. Tour?
Round #98 won by JohnS
Submitted by AlanS. Kolbensattelbahn, Alpine coaster, Oberammergu, Germany. Romantic Germany tour.
Round #99 won by AlanS
Submitted by JohnS. Pont du Gard Aqueduct over the Gardon River, in Nimes, France! This is on top of the Aqueduct which can only be accessed by taking some steep stairs and a very strenuous climb. It is locked to the general public but Tauck was able to get us access with an escort. Most did not do this but I decided to do it and lost 2 pounds in the process. The pictures were taken on the Savoring France river cruise.
Round #100 (my final round for now)
What is this nice building and what is done there?
Where is it and what lovely Woods surround it?
Hint: it is north of the Equator.
