Weather in October
Hello travelers!
We are on the eastbound cruise in mid-October this year. Can any of you give us insight into the temperatures and rainfall we're likely to encounter on the cruise as well as in Lisbon and Madrid? Thanks so much.

JackWall - See my weather description on the 'Spain and Portugal Small Group October 2024' thread which is immediately below your thread on the Forum Home Page.
You can look at any weather website for average temperatures and rainfall etc all over the world. Just before you go, look up the ten day forecast.
We never book a tour without checking weather for the dates we are thinking about, that is our number one priority.
. October can still be quite hot. We are going to Spain in October and anticipate warm weather but we will check temperatures just before we go.
I also check the weather before booking a trip but at least this year, the temps seem must higher than the norms. The temps for Croatia are averaging 10-15 degrees warmer than normal. I’m watching them daily and continually readjusting my packing.
I just use my cell phone's weather application to check weather before a trip. Sadly, with the ravages of climate change, it is impossible to accurately predict what to expect these days. I agree that checking daily before a trip is the best approach.
That's why with ravages, we look up averages.
We did the cruise the same direction in late Oct/early Nov. The only rain was in Coimbra/Porto and some along the river. Lisbon and Madrid were dry and nice temps. Bring a light rain jacket but also some warm weather clothing.
