Twenty years ago we rejected the Bridge Climb for a seaplane tour and lunch of the Sydney area. It was a great choice. If you’re looking for something to do in free time you might investigate seaplane rides.
I did the bridge climb when I took this tour in October 2023. Keep in mind that of the roughly 3 hour duration of this tour, you will spend about 2 hours getting into your gear and going through the orientation briefing/training and 1 hour actually climbing the bridge. That said, I still enjoyed the experience.
We did the bridge climb 10 years ago when my daughter was studying in Sydney. It was fairly terrifying. I doubt I would do it today! Then again, she thought it was fairly tame, as compared with bungee jumping on the Gold Coast or zorbing (rolling down a hill in a giant plastic ball) in New Zealand. Couldn't choose a semester abroad in some great European city? No...she wanted adventure!
Frankly - I would have preferred to have a tour of the Opera House - or see a performance there!
We did the Bridge Climb and loved it! I do have a fear of heights but I decided to go for it anyway and I was so glad I did. Some others from our tour did the climb and they had a great time, too. The view from the top is amazing but it’s about the experience! I recommend doing the twilight climb so you can see the view of Sydney Harbor by daylight (going up) as well as by night (going down) when the city is illuminated.
Also, as Wan mentioned, the Bridge Climb is not included in the Tauck tour. We bought our tickets online in advance to ensure we got the date and time of our choice.
Not with Tauck but have done the bridge climb and a seaplane trip with lunch in Sydney. The bridge climb was just plain frustrating because of the extremely slow pace. I wonder if they’ve made any improvements by grouping people by fitness level rather than just a time slot. I felt I could have done the climb in half the time! The seaplane was fun and we had a lovely lunch.
It's all the rest stops from all the steps - 1300 that add time. I think there is one now that goes faster - less rest stops. We did the twilight and loved it.

Assuming you mean the bridge climb, it is not included.
That bridge climb scared men out of my mind even though you are tethered in. Ir was my first experience having an absolute fear of heights.

We were not interested in the bridge climb, but did enjoy walking back and forth on the bridge.
I do know people who have done the bridge climb and liked it.
If you look to the top left of this picture, you can see a group of climbers.
I rented a bike and biked across. Remember, you go clockwise around roundabouts.

I walked across the bridge roadway - not over the top. I might have done the over-the-top 20 years ago.

I think I still prefer the seaplane ride.
I'm with you Sam.

My hat's off to those who do that bridge climb. I don't think I could do it because of my fear of heights - but I respect those who do it.
