American Express platinum is a benefit for Global Entry as well as Chase Sapphire without a requirement to book through their portal. I enjoy a lot of American Express travel benefits. There is always a learning curve to here system. I learned the hard way too through mistakes I e made. However, be prepared for the hefty annual fee. The benefits make it worth it if used advantageously. The same with Chase Sapphire. I also use the Marriott card. In Italy, I’ll heating 5 nights free using Marriott points - nothing wrong with that. Again, another learning curve.
